Grammy Awards is one of the most popular awards of the Music Industry
which is presented by the Recording Academy to acknowledge success in the music industry. Grammy Awards are presented each year in the United States by the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences or the Latin Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences. The trophy represents a gilded gramophone and is the primary and biggest award of the Big Three networks’ major music awards held annually.
The primary Grammy Awards ceremony was held in Los Angeles on 4th May 1959, and 28 awards were presented. The 63rd annual Grammy Awards was all set to release in January 2021 in Los Angeles but got delayed for the concerns about COVID-19. 2021 Grammy Awards have been postponed until March due to the pandemic, which has been quickly spreading in California.
The Recording Academy delivered a report over social media by saying that it rescheduled the show to Sunday, March 14.
“After thoughtful conversations with health experts, our host, and artists scheduled to appear, we are rescheduling the 63rd Annual GRAMMY Awards to be broadcast Sunday, March 14, 2021. The deteriorating COVID situation in Los Angeles, with hospital services being overwhelmed, ICUs having reached capacity, and new guidance from state and local governments have all led us to conclude that postponing our show was the right thing to do.” It further stated, “Nothing is more important than the health and safety of those in our music community and the hundreds of people who work tirelessly on producing the show.
We want to thank all of the talented artists, the staff, our vendors, and especially this year’s nominees for their understanding, patience, and willingness to work with us as we navigate these unprecedented times.” #GRAMMYs
