Spices Taken Empty Stomach Can Affect Your Gut


It may not always right to eat anything that we feel like eating. The first thing we eat in the morning sets forth the day. Certain foods are not very good for us if eaten on an empty stomach. Many of us consuming certain spices on an empty stomach can help us lose weight some spices can give your metabolism the boost it needs. Some spices should never be taken on an empty stomach because they can cause harm to the gut lining. Few Spices That Affect your Stomach are- 

#1 Cinnamon

Cinnamon is a spice that is made from the inner bark of trees scientifically known as Cinnamomum. It has many health benefits like cut the risk of heart disease, Lowers Blood Sugar Levels, and many more. If you consume cinnamon on an empty stomach it can lead you severely damage your liver. If you consume too much of it then it can lead to cinnamaldehyde allergy which can cause mouth sores, white patches in the mouth, and itching on the inner lining of the mouth and increase the risk of cancer. 

#2 Fenugreek

Fenugreek is a clover-like herb native to the Mediterranean region, southern Europe, and western Asia. It helps in increasing milk production in breastfeeding mothers. Fenugreek may also reduce cholesterol levels, lower inflammation. Fenugreek has a negative impact also if you have any respiratory issues then you should stay away from fenugreek because consuming too much of it can trigger asthma. Other than that, diarrhea, stomach upset, bloating, gas, dizziness, headache with severe pain in your lower abdomen, a “maple syrup” odor in urine.

#3 Carom Seeds

Carom seeds are the seeds of the ajwain herb or Trachyspermum Ammi. Ajwain is a great way to pump up your metabolism and give relieves from indigestion and, improve cholesterol levels but you need to watch the dosage because it is a warm spice. Carom seeds instantly shoot up your temperature and can lead to heartburn, especially during summers. At times, it also leads to indigestion and can cause loose motions. 

#4 Black Pepper

Black pepper can reduce the effect of certain medications. It changes the biome of the gut due to which certain medicines don’t impact the body the way they should. It can also react with certain medicines and lead to allergies.

#5 Paprika

If you eat paprika right in the morning on an empty stomach, you’re increasing your risk of stomach flu, abdominal irritation, and burning sensation in the gut. So, even if you are consuming salad, try to avoid adding paprika to it. Try adding half a lemon to it instead for a zingy taste.
